Classroom CPR Courses

CPR & AED (BLS)

Who should take this course?

The CPR & AED Course is designed for healthcare professionals and anyone who needs to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and non-medical settings.

First Aid, CPR, & AED

Who should take this course?

The First Aid CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

ACLS

Who should take this course?

ACLS is geared towards healthcare professionals who either direct or participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other cardiovascular emergencies or personnel in emergency response.

PALS

Who should take this course?

PALS is intended for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children and for personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care and critical care units.

The BLS Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.

The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. 

The BLS Course is approximately 4 hours long.

 Upon successful completion of the course students will receive their AHA Course Completion eCard to their email. Course completion cards are valid for two years.

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.

This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

Heartsaver courses are intended for are designed for anyone with little or no medical training who
needs a course completion card for job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements. These courses
can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

The Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course is approximately 7 hours.

 Upon successful completion of the course students will receive their AHA Course Completion eCard to their email. Course completion cards are valid for two years.
