About EKG Exam Prep Training

The program consists of 4 weeks of lecture and hands-on training within the facility. We have the supplies, equipment, and people with excellent qualifications that will help you to become an excellent EKG Technician. The program’s objectives are to prepare the student to be able to understand the anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system, explain the purpose of EKG monitoring, how to perform live EKG’s and more. Students will perform 30 live EKG’s in class. 

Students attend class one day per week for four weeks. Please view our calendar for class schedules.

Program Requirements

To enroll in this course, you must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma/GED.

Proof of high school diploma/GED is required prior to testing for MedCA national certification exam but not to start the class.

MedCA National Certification Exam

Upon successful completion of the class, you may register to take the Certified EKG Technician National Exam with us.

In addition, you must email proof of a high school diploma or GED to our email: info@savelivessrq.com. Upon completion of the course, you may register on our website to schedule your exam. The exam fee is $150. The certification is valid for two years and will help increase your chances of getting hired.

You can become certified as a EKG Technician within a month.  You may register for the national certification exam at your convenience. Testing is offered at our locaton.


Unlike online training courses, you will have hands on training. We have manikins and simulators to provide real life scenarios. You will perform 30 live EKGs.
